Smude Sunflower Oil
is an all-natural oil that is filtered, but unrefined.
Color & Taste Variation
Your oil may vary from purchase to purchase because it is unrefined. There also may be a slight difference in the taste. There is nothing to worry about.
The changes in oils actually depend on the seeds and their growing conditions. If there is different soil, different amounts of rainfall, etc. The oil will be filtered and pressed the same way but still can turn out in various shades.
Wax
You may also notice a white waxy substance at the bottom of the bottle. It is a natural wax that appears due to the wax between the seed and its shell. The wax will not hurt you to eat.
The wax can be removed if we were to refine our oil. We choose not to refine the oil because it takes out the majority of nutrients.
